I am a UKCP-registered gestalt psychotherapist and supervisor, and a GPTI-accredited trainer and supervisor. I have been involved in gestalt for around 20 years.
I offer psychotherapy, supervision, training workshops and consultancy in my independent private practice in Edinburgh. I welcome clients with a wide range of needs, difficulties and personal experience, and trainees/supervisees from diverse contexts.
I was a member of the core management and training team at EGI for around ten years, until leaving these roles in 2017 to pursue my other professional interests including writing. I am now a guest trainer at EGI.

Relational, embodied, creative living is at the heart of my personal and professional life….this is a continuation of my long-running exploration of how each of us can live out our deepest creative potential. If you come for therapy with me, I will work and relate creatively with you according to what you bring and what emerges between us in the here-and-now. I believe that how we relate is central to effective therapy. I am ongoingly fascinated by how psychotherapy can best support connection with self and others, and through this, enable more vitality, creativity, well-being and healing.

Many strands shape my personal style as a Gestalt psychotherapist. I trained at EGI, and continue to add to this training in national and international contexts. I have a background as a practitioner and manager in the addictions and mental health fields in the voluntary and statutory sectors. I have a strong interest in attachment and trauma, developed through personal and professional experience. Other interests weave into my work: literature, philosophy, poetry, language, dance, playing my flute, connecting closely with nature/spirit. I am currently deepening my understanding of interpersonal neurobiology, and focusing on increasing acceptance and compassion.

As a supervisor and trainer, I have a particular interest in supporting therapists with the stimulating and challenging process of professional development and accreditation, particularly the integration of applied psychotherapy theory, the deepening of embodied relational ethical creative practice, and a careful focus on presence, inclusion and self-care.

I am committed to reflective, ethical practice; to my own personal and professional development, and am in regular clinical supervision for my all my work.

If you would like to explore the possibility of working with me, please get in touch so that we can explore what you are looking for, consider whether we might be a good match, and discuss the practicalities of an initial meeting/contract if appropriate (e.g. location, times, fees, confidentiality).
