EGI promotes the principle of continuing professional development as an integral part of ethical practice. EGI advanced courses are designed to:

  • enhance the scope and quality of counselling/psychotherapeutic work
  • increase therapeutic effectiveness
  • extend professional competencies such as: self-awareness and use of self; capacity to work at relational depth; philosophy/theory and its application in practice; working with body process; skills in successfully engaging with specific client populations
  • enable professional progression, such as training as a supervisor, couples therapist or group facilitator/therapist/trainer
  • offer opportunities for stimulation, nourishment, collegial support/contact/challenge and lively contemporary learning

The courses will benefit:

  • recently qualified counsellors/psychotherapists
  • experienced practitioners
  • therapists/counsellors who wish to develop or deepen their knowledge of Gestalt and/or embodied relational theory and practice
