EGI promotes the principle of continuing professional development as an integral part of ethical practice. EGI advanced courses are designed to:
- enhance the scope and quality of counselling/psychotherapeutic work
- increase therapeutic effectiveness
- extend professional competencies such as: self-awareness and use of self; capacity to work at relational depth; philosophy/theory and its application in practice; working with body process; skills in successfully engaging with specific client populations
- enable professional progression, such as training as a supervisor, couples therapist or group facilitator/therapist/trainer
- offer opportunities for stimulation, nourishment, collegial support/contact/challenge and lively contemporary learning
The courses will benefit:
- recently qualified counsellors/psychotherapists
- experienced practitioners
- therapists/counsellors who wish to develop or deepen their knowledge of Gestalt and/or embodied relational theory and practice
