Availability: Tuesday – Friday including some early (8.15am) and some later (6.45pm) slots

Price per session: My normal fees are £45 for individuals and £55 for couples. Initial consultations are £25 for individuals and £30 for couples. Reduced fees may be available – please feel free to discuss this with me.

Matthew has been providing counselling and psychotherapy since 2005. He works with both individuals and couples. He welcomes people from all walks of life and all backgrounds, and has experience of dealing with a wide range of issues. He has a particular interest in and experience of working with writers and artists.

Matthew worked for a number of years as a university lecturer before moving into the voluntary sector and also training as a counselor and psychotherapist. He began training in Transactional Analysis in 2002 and holds a Certificate in Transactional Analysis Counselling Theory and Skills and a Diploma in Transactional Analysis Counselling. In 2008, he completed a Level 1 Narrative Therapy training. More recently he has undertaken training in London and Glasgow in working with couples. In his work he mostly uses a mixture of narrative therapy techniques combined with Transactional Analysis.

Matthew lives and works in Edinburgh.
